That is why we really wanted to use the X570 chipset for the review, it’s a unique perspective and gives the 2700X the best chance possible. Also for reference, with the ultra quality settings the 3700X is 9% faster than the 2700X, but we’re seeing a 21% increase in performance for the 3rd-gen Ryzen processor.

It’s also worth noting that the 10600K is up to 33% faster. The spacing between nodes in the CPU is likely the cause of these design limitation on the part of the 2700x and is not an issue with the 3700x as its node spacing is much denser and so boasts around a 15% performance increase on top of the slightly better specs.
